Intercompany Automation: How to Execute Code in Another Company Using the ExpandIT Launch Utility
Do you like this story?
In Navision and Dynamics NAV is it not possible to execute a trigger (C/AL code), in another company. It is possible to share data between companies and to read data in another company. But you cannot provoke the creation of a Sales Order.
It happens that one company (A) is selling an item that the other company (B) has in stock. Company A creates a purchase order for company B and company B has to create a Sales Order for company A and a Shipment. It is the creation of the Sales Order in company B that we would like to execute from company A. This is possible with the ExpandIT Launch Utility.
This white paper explains how you can make a consistent and automated exchange of information between multiple companies in Navision and Dynamics NAV.
