This is an exciting time for the online prospects of retail companies. As I discussed in my last article, e-commerce activity has steadily risen over the last decade, and we are now seeing the convergence of mass acceptance, improved integration to ERP, warehouse, and CRM systems, and exciting new sales trends.
For e-commerce to reach its potential in 2011, ERP systems must deliver connectivity all the way down the retail vertical. From sales staff equipped with mobile devices on the retail floor that can give immediate customer support to cloud services that handles spikes in the supply chain.
